Viral Marketing Brings The Art Community Together

Studio 8 Ten’s Face to Face(book) Group Art Show

Painter and Las Vegas resident, Bonnie Kelso, has been marketing her artwork through her Facebook account for about a year now. It’s about to pay off in an unexpected way next month at Studio 8 Ten, a unique art studio and gift shop on Las Vegas Blvd. She will be participating with 25 other artists in the Studio 8 Ten “Face to Face(book)” Group Art Show for the month of July. The show opens July 3 (First Friday) and runs through July 31st. Artist reception will be on Friday, July 17, from 6 – 8pm.

Southern Nevada Center For The Arts Grand Opening

GRAND OPENING OF THE SOUTHERN NEVADA CENTER FOR THE ARTS
BRINGING ART TO HISTORIC FREMONT STREET

The Southern Nevada Center for the Arts, located at 450 Fremont Street (at the corner of Fremont and 4th Street) on the second level of the Neonopolis, is having its Grand Opening weekend Friday, January 23 through Sunday, January 25, 2009. The hours for the opening events will be Friday and Saturday, 10 am - 8 pm and Sunday, 12 - 5 pm. The Center is open to the public daily, from 9 am to 9 pm.

Works of over 50 artists are represented at the Center. There are 30 artist studios and gallery spaces currently leased by painters, photographers, ceramicists, sculptors, jewelers, and other art related services. The Center will be the location for a series of art related special events throughout the grand opening weekend, including a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday. New Artists Galleries In Downtown Las Vegas

Scheduled to open to the public in October is the Southern Nevada Center for the Arts. Residing on the second floor of the Neonopolis complex on historic Fremont Street will be the studios and gallery spaces of 44 lucky Las Vegas artists. The project has been modeled after the highly successful Torpedo Factory in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. This first set of spaces will kick off the project with future quadrants of the Neonopolis building to be developed in the near future. There is already a waiting list for the proposed addition to the Center for the Arts. Also featured on the same floor is the Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Art featuring works by well-known artists such as Marc Chagall, Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, Alexander Calder and Joan Miro. It will be open to the public for a nominal entry fee.

Kelso Exhibits At International Market

The work of Las Vegas artist, Bonnie Kelso can be seen and purchased at this summer's World Market Event at the World Market Center, Las Vegas, Nevada. She is being represented by Lena Walther of Scandinavian Collection, showroom B-158. The World Market will be held from July 28th - August 1, 2008. The World Market Center is located at 495 S Grand Central Parkway, Las Vegas. Market hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The grand opening of their third building will be held at just prior to this large event and performer Rod Stewart will be there as the headline entertainment. Approximately 50,000 people are expected to attend this widely publicized event. The World Market Center will feature over 1,500 exhibitors of high quality artwork, furnishings, lighting fixtures, and other specialty products for interior designers and architects to purchase from.

Las Vegas Adventurer Participates In International Art Show

Visit Las Vegas artist, Bonnie Kelso at Las Vegas ArtExpo, booth #203, in the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, September 19 through 21, 2008. Kelso, who paints mainly in acrylics, will be showing her work at this major art event. A local Las Vegas artist, Kelso captures the essence of the places closest to her heart. Popular subjects include Red Rock Canyon, Zion National Park, Grand Canyon, and the Pacific Ocean.
